As a tour operation, we are in a unique position to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people who are under our duty of care.   1. Child Safety & Staff Conduct

Jesters Flat ensures that all staff who come into contact with minors are known to us and have the professional capacity to carry out their activity.

Staff screening — We undertake robust and appropriate checks on each staff member who will be in contact with minors, including wherever possible:

  • Full identity record including known and proven living address and a copy of formal national ID (driver’s licence, passport, health card, etc.)
  • Working with Children Card (includes National Police Check)
  • A record of other establishments the staff member has worked for during their employment with us

Supervision — Where possible, no single staff member will be alone with a minor without either another staff member or a family member present, unless in exceptional circumstances. This protects both the child and the staff member.

Reporting — Our staff are encouraged to report any unacceptable or unusual behaviour around children.

  1. Photography, Filming & Recording Policy

To protect the privacy and safety of all guests — particularly children — filming and audio recording during rides is strictly prohibited, unless explicitly authorised by us in advance.

This includes:

  • Mobile phones
  • Cameras
  • GoPros or body-mounted devices
  • Drones or similar equipment

Key points:

  • No photography or filming of minors is permitted at any stage without prior written consent from a parent or nominated guardian.
  • Guests must not film other riders, staff, or children at any time.
  • Photography by guests of adults is permitted.
  • Any authorised photography conducted by us will only occur with prior consent and will never focus on children without written guardian approval.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal from the ride without refund.

  1. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information only when necessary, including to:

  • Staff and contractors involved in delivering our services
  • Payment processors and booking platforms
  • Insurers, legal advisers or regulators
  • Emergency services where required for safety

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access or disclosure. Measures include:

  • Limited access to personal information
