Do I need to make a booking/reservation for a horse riding tour?

Yes, bookings are essential.

How do I make a booking?

There are a few choices:

  • Book directly via the Book Now Button. Gift Vouchers can also be purchased via this instant booking button.
  • Fill in the enquiry form on the Contact Us page
  • Send a direct email to bookings@jestersflat.com
  • Call us on 08 9757 4562. Leave a clear message with your phone number, if phone is unattended.

What is the minimum age for horse riding?

Generally children 10 years and over can go out on an escorted trail ride, check individual Tours for more details as different ages and conditions  apply per tour.

Is there a weight restriction?

As a guide, 95kgs is usually the maximum weight limit. Call us to discuss options if you are over this limit. We do make exceptions for very experienced riders.

Are Private Tours available?

We can organize a private tour for you or your group for an additional fee, currently $60 extra per person/ per hour.

What do we wear?

Just wear any long trousers, enclosed shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor activities. We’ll supply helmets. We’ll also supply boots if necessary, so pack some socks if you aren’t wearing any. We have ablutions with hot showers so you are welcome to bring a change of clothes and a towel to freshen up after your ride.

What happens in rainy weather?

We will usually ride out in rainy weather, and have a selection of wet weather jackets that can be used on the day. If the weather is very stormy, with thunder and lightning etc we will attempt to reschedule tours . If rescheduling is not possible, the ride will be cancelled and you will be issued a credit or refund for your ride.

Is there accommodation on site?

We do have  luxury bell tents  available for horse riding multi day treks. Unfortunately they are not available for hire outside of multi day treks. Alternatively , we suggest you contact the local visitor centre for the latest list of accommodation nearby www.margaretriver.com

Is there somewhere for the non riders to wait?

Yes, there is a Clubhouse with a lounge area, magazines and books, games and children’s activities. There is also a treehouse area, children’s cubby house and sand pit playground. You are more than welcome to go bushwalking and bird watching in the surrounding bushland.

Do you do pony leads for children ?

We take children out on trail rides if they are over 10years of age. However, if you are looking for a pony lead for younger children, we suggest contacting  fantasypartyponies.com

Yes, we accept most cards excluding American Express.

How long does it take to get to Jesters Flat from Margaret River?

We are approximately 20 minutes driving time from the Margaret River town.

There is limited mobile phone range on the way out to Jesters Flat, so make sure you have checked on a map before leaving town.

Can a young child ride on the same horse as an adult?

No, for safety reasons, we do not allow more than one person per horse.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance for horse riding?

We have comprehensive Public Liability Insurance to cover horse riding on our horses, anywhere in Australia. However, we highly recommend you have your own personal accident cover and/or travel insurance.

How Accessible is your venue and activity?
